How much would you pay for a well-worn pair of designer heels?
Would you pay, let’s say, $725? No? Alright, how about $600? Still no?
But think about it; this pair is a premium designer brand although really worn almost abused! How about $550? OK.
How about paying $507 on sale for pair of brand new Maison Martin Margiela leather pumps that look like they have been worn out and abused to the tenth power? The official description says that these shoes are handmade pumps with opposing elastic and and contract detail that is different on the right & left shoe.
What it really looks like is that the shoes have seen better days. The heels look like that the previous owner of these shoes has deliberately fallen into almost all sidewalk grates on her way. The vamp of the shoe looks like it has been worn so long that the stitches on the sides dissipated and the elastic band around the vamp came off revealing the foam padding between the leather on the outside and the inner sole. The leather at the tip of the vamp looks like that they have been worn through the worst part of the Monsoon season that left irreversible acid rain spots and cracks on the leather due to frequent wet-dry cycyles. What makes it more interesting is that these shoes look like this when brand new!
I don’t know what you think of this style but I belive that each of us has owned at least a pair of shoes that ended up looking like that just before we got rid of them for good! Well, if not, you still have the chance to buy a pair to join the club. Just spit out a mere $507 on sale at Farfetch.
