This is a new series of blog posts about female pop stars who perform on stage or on TV wearing their tall Christian Louboutin boots to complement their outfits.

They do look sexy and they are aware of that as you’ll see from the pictures.

The first post is about the pop diva Christina Aguilera. I love her beautiful voice and I also love her extensive collection of designer shoes and boots.

She probably has a couple of pairs of each Louboutin model ever designed in her closet.

Sophie Monk has put her old faithful Stella McCartney thigh high boots into service again.

Last time I have seen her in those gorgeous high heeled perforated boots was when she wore them to the launch of the Candy Ice New Collection by Lucy Kilislian benefiting Help for Orphans International at SHG’s MyStudio nightclub in Hollywood on August 13, 2010.

This time, she wore them on Friday the 30th, 2011 to the Rage Official Launch Party at Chinatown’s Historical Central Plaza on in Los Angeles.

She looked stunning in those black faux-leather thigh-high boots with 5-inch gunmetal-tone sculpted-metal stiletto heels.

She also had a thin metal bracelet on her right ankle over the boots, which was quite attraction-grabbing.

I always mention how much I love to see celebrities put their shoes and boots to use as many times as they can instead of wearing one pair once and throwing them away.

I have been carefully observing the high quality boots of this small manufacturer in Italy for quite some time.

Les Baisers Des Etoiles are leather boots that are entirely handcrafted in Italy.

They have exquisite French designs.

The dark green pair (by the way, I love the color) featured in this post is a pair of knee-high boots made of alligator embossed leather upper.

They also feature leather soles, leather insoles, extremely pointy toes, and 4.5-inch metal stiletto heels.

The price tag on such well-crafted boots is only $599.

It was about time that we’ve seen another nice boot design from Ralph Lauren.

Ralph Lauren Collection Coura boots are made of brown suede.

They have a stacked stiletto heel that measures 4.5 inches high. There is also a mini platform that is 0.5 inches tall.

These boots feature a buckled dark-brown leather panel, a top-stitch detail, an almond-shaped toe, and a silver zip fastening at the side.

They are sold online at net-a-porter for $1,300.

These stiletto black OTK boots are made of soft nubuck suede leather and feature a 4.25-inch high stiletto heel, a pointed toe, a buckle detail at side vamp and top of shaft.

Le Silla Black Stretch PITONE Platform OTK Boots

I really love these Le Silla python leather OTK boots.

These sexy over-the-knee boots are made of black snakeskin and they feature 5.1-inch high stiletto heels with 1.6-inch platforms, pointed and slightly accentuated toes, slim and fitted above the knee shaft.

Despite the over 5-inch heel height, the actual walking height is a comfortable 3.5 inches with the help of the double platforms. The main platform is concealed and below that, there is a second mini platform that elevates the boots a little further.

While most other Le Silla leather boots with similar design are priced at around $700, the price of $2,090 at shopbop is ‘reasonable’ for these Pitone OTK boots since they are made of real python leather.

Christian Louboutin Gazolina 140 Suede Calfskin Thigh-High Platform Boots

I love this particular model by Louboutin that comes in two colors: black and coffee.

My favorite color choice is coffee as it is more unique than a pair of black suede OTK boots.

The boots are made of suede calfskin and are a whooping 31 inches tall. This is not a mere OTK but rather thigh-high territory.

They feature a covered 5.5-inch high stiletto heel (hence the 140 in the name for 140mm) with a 1.2-inch tall platform (30mm), a softly rounded toe, a half zipper at the inside of the shaft, a fabric lining (I would’ve preferred a leather one, but oh well), and off course the signature red leather sole.

The initial price for these lovely boots were $2,295, however, right now, they are sold for around $1,800 and lower. A Google search would bring you similar prices, but unfortunately most of the sizes may be sold out by now.

31-years-old actress Kristen Bell is a gorgeous and quirky girl. She always has a lot of energy and it’s great fun to watch her.

I wanted to share her pictures in her black leather high heeled OTK boots with you.

She was wearing these particular pair of over-the-knee boots quite a lot in 2010 and she was really getting her money’s worth out of them.

She wore them to two ‘Burlesque’ movie premieres in Paris and Berlin, and she also attended two late night shows (George Lopez and Craig Ferguson) wearing the very same boots.

When she visited Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Craig couldn’t help but mention her wearing those boots and called her a “bad bitch“! And she sure showed them off to the audience.

And at Lopez Tonight, George Lopez couldn’t stop touching her booted legs during the interview.

At 5 ft 1 in (155 cm), Kristen is a tiny young lady with tiny size 6 feet, but she sure fills the screen with her energy and her looks. She kind of reminds me of Kelly Ripa – although Kelly Ripa is much taller than Kristin! [Hey, Kelly is allegedly 5 ft 3 in, that is 2 whole inches taller than Kristin! But honestly, I don't think that they are any taller than each other!]

Lady Gaga pulled out a pair of her dozens of Noritaka Tatehana platform boots from her extensive and exquisite closet for a photo shoot on Monday, 09/12/2011 .

This time blonde Lady Gaga posed outside a studio in NYC, where she has been working with the acclaimed photographer Annie Leibovitz for a spread in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair.

Unusual for the Meatpacking District – but definitely not for Lady Gaga, the pop diva was dressed in all red including her super high heel-less ankle boots, leather gloves, and huge sunglasses.

Towering over her bodyguards, the 5’1″ (1.55m) singer posed for the paparazzi and greeted her worshipping fans (or ‘little monsters’) from high above.

Earlier the same day, she was spotted in NYC’s Central Park posing by a food stand in an even more outrageous outfit wearing even higher heel-less boots.

It is very hard to find a perfectly matching ‘nude’ shoes or boots, no matter what your complexion is.

With the boots, the best match that I’ve ever seen was Sandra Bullock’s knee boots that I blogged about previously.

I love the quilted leather panel along the back of the shaft of these Burberry black stretch nappa leather thigh-high boots. It gives the boots a certain personality.

Although the stiletto heels look mean and measure 5 inches tall, the 1 inch high platform in the front makes you feel like you are walking on 4 inches high heels.

Other features are the seam details, the gunmetal half-zippers on the insides of the shafts, and the rugged rubber soles that tell you that these babies mean business.

These two chain detail ankle boots by Gianmarco Lorenzi are simply gorgeous.

Both of the ankle boots feature a textured surface, almond shaped toes, an exposed zip on the inside, a leather overlay with seam stitch paneling, belt and buckle detailing with metal hardware and chain decoration to the front. The black ones have silver hardware and chain whereas the whisky color ones have gold tone metal hardware and chain.

I like the fact that you can wear the chain either on the back or the front of the shaft.

Both boots have a 5.5-inch high stiletto heel and a 1-inch platform with contrasting stripe layers-black boots have the contrasting layer in silver and the brown boots have it in gold.

I love the color tone, the surface texture and the high quality finish.

The materials and the craftsmanship of these Yves Saint Laurent leather knee boots is extraordinary!

These pull-on boots are made of black kidskin leather and they feature 4-inch chunky heels, pull tabs at the top of the shafts, cross-over gold chain-embellished straps at the ankles, and almond toes.

Although the chunky heels and almond toes are not necessarily my favorite design elements on a boot, these YSL boots are so well crafted that I like them.

I always have a tendency to like different looking designs and this is one of them.

I have been wanting to post something about these Camilla Skovgaard boots for quite some time (since when they first came out), but I’ve never done so until today.

These black suede ankle boots with black leather tassels at the high heels look quite interesting and they are really eye-catching. They actually look like little floggers.

The tassel-covered stiletto heels measure a nice 4.5 inches. These boots have a round toe (which may be comfy but not my favorite design element), a leather finish at the back.

They also feature a black jagged signature platform together with a cream leather sole and silver zip fastenings at the side.

I love these two design concepts by Fendi.

They designed a nice high heel shoe and a great boot with their logo on the front.

The chocolate brown high heel ankle boots from Fendi feature an upturned 2-inch wooden platform sole with a gold tone metal logo plaque at the tip of the boot, brick red leather strips up the front and heel of the boot and a back zip fastening. These gorgeous Cesare Paciotti OTK boots have a fantastic color. A catalog says that they are brown/red, but I would describe them as “Burnt Sienna“. I love the way the leather color is degraded from the bottom to the top of the shaft and also at the heels.

I don’t like the description “shoe boots” but that’s what they are called. So I am going to stick with it.

These Lanvin “shoe boots” with cut-outs have recently been reduced from US$1,300 to US$730.

I know that it is still a hefty amount for a pair of shoes but the quality of the material and the craftsmanship is top of the line.

These black leather ankle height shoe boots feature square-shaped enclosed toes, wide band with a gold metal buckle rests across the foot, enclosed ankles.

The 5-inch stiletto heels are leather covered and the platform soles measure 1 and 1/3 inches in height.

How To Clean, Condition and Shine Your Boots

2010-11 winter has been a very snowy one thus far. New York City typically gets 21 inches of snow a winter. Alone in January 2011, we have seen 36 inches of snow making it the snowiest January since the city started keeping records. Adding this to the 20-inch blizzard in late December and all other snowy days, we have seen over 65 inches of snow in total so far. A meteorologist with the National Weather Service noted that this was already the sixth-snowiest winter on record – the snowiest was 1995-96 (75.6 inches) – and we have all of February and all of March to look forward to more snow.

I love snow in its powdery form. When it starts melting and turns into a nasty and slushy brew, there is not much fun about it.

When snow melts in the city, it becomes a horrible blend of water; rock salt; calcium chloride (this is another type of salt found in deicer products with the ability to absorb a great deal of liquid and therefore works much more efficiently than rock salt when it comes to clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, streets, and roadways); dissolved oil, grease, and heavy metals (roadways and motor vehicles are considered to be one of the largest sources of heavy metals. Zinc, copper, and lead are three of the most common heavy metals released from road travel. On the road surface, most heavy metals become bound to the surfaces of road dust and during precipitation, the bound metals will either become soluble [dissolved] or be swept off the roadway with the water/snow/ice); dirt; all other possible impurities found on the city roads and sidewalks.

If these materials are left on your footwear for extended periods of time, they will damage your shoes and boots permanently.

When I watch fellow New Yorkers to see how they navigate the sidewalk slush and slush puddles the size their studio apartments, I see many different techniques that are more or less efficient. But one thing is for sure: You’re not going anywhere in the city with dry shoes or boots as there are so many invisible puddles everywhere! You may think that it’s just going to be an inch or two, and it goes all the way up to your knees. There are no snow boots that can save you from such deep ponds – not even your designer over-the-knee boots!

All salts will cause damage to leather and suede footwear through their corrosive properties if left untreated. The leather, suede, and shearling (as found in most UGGs boots) surfaces will be damaged, shrink, crack, and become hard to the touch.

The easiest way to protect your leather footwear from permanent damage is to clean any items that have salt on them as soon as possible and condition them to replenish the softness of the leather. I am not even getting into suede or shearling as they should not be worn in slush anyways even though I see way too many UGG-whores trying to walk in the slushy streets with their UGGs soaked up to their ankles looking like wet loaves of bread!

Each day, when I come home, huf is tasked with cleaning, conditioning, and polishing of my leather boots. They look great (and sometimes better than when they were new) after an hour or so of TLC and are ready for me. I always wear a different pair of boots each day and never wear the same pair on two consecutive days as to preserve the leather and let them breathe.

I asked huf to take pictures when he was cleaning my Elie Tahari leather knee-high boots so that I can prepare a tutorial on how he cleans, conditions, and polishes my boots and also share with you, which products he uses. Below is the step-by-step tutorial on how to clean off the salt from your boots and make them shine like the very first day you wore them.

With the winter of 2011 becoming one the snowiest in decades, it would be a good idea to clean your leather footwear to avoid permanent and costly damage.

1- This is how my beloved Elie Tahari leather boots look after one day wear in NYC. In this picture, the boots are still wet and are covered with salt etc.

2- This is how my boots look after they are dry. I did not even walk more than a couple of blocks in them and you see how bad they look.

Products you need to clean, condition and polish

3- These are all you need to clean, condition and polish your leather boots.

KIWI saddle soap

4- First, you must remove all the salt residue and dirt using a wet cloth and let the boots dry. Then you apply KIWI saddle soap with a moist cloth. You should first develop lather and then rub this well into the leather. Repeat procedure until you clean the surface. Then let the leather dry and buff with a soft cloth.

Fiebling's Distressed Leather Conditioner

5- Once you finish the saddle soap application and the boots are dry, then you can apply the leather conditioner. huf uses Fiebling’s Distressed Leather Conditioner. It removes deep scuff marks and restores original boot texture while softening the leather. Rub conditioner well into the leather using a soft cloth. Allow to stand on leather minimum 10 minutes. then buff boots with a soft bristle horsehair brush. Apply the conditioner to the whole boot at one time.

Tarrago Professional Shoe Cream

6- Once the boots are cleaned and conditioned, you can use a professional shoe cream (huf uses Tarrago Professional Self Shine Shoe Cream). This brand is good as it has natural waxes that nourishes the leather surface while giving a deep shine. Allow to dry. Then brush softly with a horsehair brush.

Angelus brand acrylic sole & heel enamel

7- The next step is the application of an acrylic sole and heel enamel. huf uses Angelus brand for this purpose. Use a Q-tip to apply the enamel to the soles and heels and let it dry to a rich gloss. This enamel will make your heels and soles water resistant.

Horsehair brush

8- The last step is to brush the whole boot with a soft horsehair brush to a high gloss. You should take your time (huf is taking 10-15 minutes per boot) and make sure that you treat the entire surface of the boot.

My boots look as good as new – for now! All this work and they will look like the first picture after only one day in NYC slush!

I don’t mind since it’s huf’s job to take care of my shoes and boots. And he will start working on them as soon as I take them off

These gorgeous Stella McCartney over-the-knee [OTK] boots have been around for almost 2 years now.

First, everybody saw Rihanna wearing them. Then came Sharon Stone’s sexy pictures in Paris Match magazine with the same stiletto heeled fierce boots.

Lately, people started talking about these lovely boots because of Madonna. She wore those babies at the 5th Annual Fashion Delivers Gala held at Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in NYC.

Fierce: Ruthie Davis “Spike” Shoetie with Spikes and Swarowski Crystals

I always loved Ruthie Davis designs as they are always a step ahead of all other designers every season. They are inventive, fresh, feminine, sexy, and beautiful.

I especially love the new double platform booties/shoeties with metal spikes and Swarowski crystals at the heel section.

From the front, they look like any high quality booties, nice soft leather and handcrafted perfectly. But when you see them from the side or better from the back, then they turn into fierce shoes that look dangerous and sexy at the same time. I like the hidden double platform and the height of the stiletto heels as well as the overall shape of the shoe, which looks feminine and comfortable to wear.

As you can see, stars such as Beyonce and Katy Perry are already rocking those babies. I will be ordering a pair soon, and I think any shoe lover should have at least a pair in her closet and wear them regularly.

Renee Zellweger: A Diva in OTK Boots

In the last couple of years, we´ve got used to see Renee Zellweger in her five inch stiletto heeled pumps and sandals unless she is exercizing. She has probably one of the most extensive Christian Louboutin footwear collections and she knows how to walk and pose in them as well. In almost all pictures, she has perfect posture and her feet are perfectly extended to display her high arches thru the shoe cleavage.

It is rather hard to see Renee in boots. She prefers sexy pumps and strappy sandals with 5-inch stiletto heels knowing that she has a perfect pair of legs and feet. A couple of years ago, she posed in leather knee boots for her role in Bridget Jones Diary and there were also a couple of other pictures of her in mid-heeled knee-high leather and suede boots.

In the last couple of years though, Renee´s taste in shoes and boots evolved and she started wearing higher and more fierce heeled pumps and sandals. The boots in this picture have pointy toes and approx. 4-inch stiletto heels.

While moving toward higher and spikier heels, Ms.Zellweger started her extensive Louboutin collection. She probably has every model in almost every color. After this transition, she´s been spotted wearing her Louboutin boots in a couple of occasions like here at the airport and...

...arriving at her hotel and...

...at the international film festival in Berlin. That shows that she is not only buying those gorgeous boots but also using and enjoying them thoroughly as well.

Lately, Renee Zellweger had great photoshoots in fashion magazines, where she was wearing almost fetish boots to complement her gorgeous outfits. It was a pleasure to see her in those sexy stiletto designer boots like in this picture. Those are patent leather lace up platform knee-high boots by Nina Ricci. I love this picture of her.

We see the same lace-up Nina Ricci platform boots here together with a form-fitting Alexander McQueen dress. Looks simply goregeous.

Although 2009 and 2010 were two great years for all tall boots lovers and we could see almost all celebrities at least in a pair of designer OTK boots, Renee held back from that trend until recently, where she wore these stunning pair of white leather OTK boots. She looks amazing in them.

But the best of them all were these fantastic Gucci stiletto OTK boots that she wore for a photoshoot. It is a great picture and she looks like a real high heel diva in those sexy boots.

Commander in Boots: Kelly Rowland

Lately, I have been hooked on Kelly Rowland’s “Commander” single.

I listen to it all the time and dance whenever I can. It is a great dance song thanks to Kelly’s great voice and David Guetta’s incredible mix.

As a boot lover, I am also captivated by the video clip of this wonderful song. Ms. Kelly looks really hot & sexy in her skin-tight latex body suit and patent leather high heeled over-the-knee boots. She literally rocks those boots and dances so easily on those 4 inch stiletto heels while her dancers in the back struggle to keep up with her in flats!

I wanted to share the screen captures of that amazing video with all my fellow shoe and boot lovers.

What do you see in the above picture?

A bunch of people gathered on ice taking pictures and looking around, right?

This is actually Romania, somewhere near the Black Sea and the ice that people are standing on is the actual sea frozen overnight.

It is a wonderful natural phenomenon and people are of course interested to see it up close since it does not happen very so often.

What is more interesting for me is the lady in the black coat with the fur collar, who is carrying a large briefcase. Check the enlarged picture below.

She is taking a picture of the scene with her cell phone camera.

Look at her feet!! She is wearing black leather boots with stiletto heels! Yes, stiletto heels on ice! And she looks so comfortable!! Most ladies have problems wearing such heels on flat pavement and yet she is rocking those heels on ice!!!

This is amazing and I believe she deserves the title “Most Hardcore Bootbitch of the Year“!

She is a fierce bootbitch indeed!
