Lady Gaga in Sky High Red Boots

Lady Gaga pulled out a pair of her dozens of Noritaka Tatehana platform boots from her extensive and exquisite closet for a photo shoot on Monday, 09/12/2011 .

This time blonde Lady Gaga posed outside a studio in NYC, where she has been working with the acclaimed photographer Annie Leibovitz for a spread in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair.

Unusual for the Meatpacking District – but definitely not for Lady Gaga, the pop diva was dressed in all red including her super high heel-less ankle boots, leather gloves, and huge sunglasses.

Towering over her bodyguards, the 5’1″ (1.55m) singer posed for the paparazzi and greeted her worshipping fans (or ‘little monsters’) from high above.

Earlier the same day, she was spotted in NYC’s Central Park posing by a food stand in an even more outrageous outfit wearing even higher heel-less boots.

Young Hollywood Cares Collection by Stuart Weitzman

A little more than a month ago, Stuart Weitzman introduced his Young Hollywood Cares Collection with Olivia Palermo wearing her co-designed sandals from this collection at a red carpet event – The Smurfs World Premiere.

The other young celebrity co-designers for Stuart Weitzman’s collection are no less than Hayden Panettiere, Scarlett Johansson, and Michelle Trachtenberg. Stuart Weitzman teamed-up with these young celebs to raise money for ovarian cancer and assist Dr. Marsha Moses’ research in ovarian cancer at the Folkman Institute in Boston, MA.

The complete collection is available and all of sales will go to a very good cause.

These vintage-effect ankle boots by Maison Martin Margiela Line 22 have a very intriguing design.

They are stiletto ankle boots in vintage treated leather with open arch detail.

These interesting all leather boots feature 4.5″ stiletto heels with lift at bottom, open sole detail beneath the arch, designer’s signature white stitch at the back, round toe, zip at the back ankle.

Gianmarco Lorenzi Chain Detail Stiletto Ankle Boots

These two chain detail ankle boots by Gianmarco Lorenzi are simply gorgeous.

Both of the ankle boots feature a textured surface, almond shaped toes, an exposed zip on the inside, a leather overlay with seam stitch paneling, belt and buckle detailing with metal hardware and chain decoration to the front. The black ones have silver hardware and chain whereas the whisky color ones have gold tone metal hardware and chain.

I like the fact that you can wear the chain either on the back or the front of the shaft.

Both boots have a 5.5-inch high stiletto heel and a 1-inch platform with contrasting stripe layers-black boots have the contrasting layer in silver and the brown boots have it in gold.

Expect to pay around $1,100 per pair online depending of the exchange rates.

These Gianmarco Lorenzi boots have both the same design elements; 5-inch high spike heels, pointed toes, and pierced leather detail with silver tone metal studs at the ankle level.

I love these two design concepts by Fendi.

They designed a nice high heel shoe and a great boot with their logo on the front.

The chocolate brown high heel ankle boots from Fendi feature an upturned 2-inch wooden platform sole with a gold tone metal logo plaque at the tip of the boot, brick red leather strips up the front and heel of the boot and a back zip fastening. The heels are 5 inches high. Price: 1,070 at farfetch.com.

The shoes have the same characteristics as the boots. They have the same brick red and chocolate brown colors.

They feature high heels at 5-inches height and 2-inch platforms.

Noritaka Tatehana 2011 Shoes – Dangerous Heights Without Heels

Noritaka Tatehana is the brains behind the sky-high heelless shoes that Lady Gaga wears to run her daily errands!

He is a Japanese designer from Tokyo and the creator of those dangerously tall platforms with spikes and without heels.

When Lady Gaga found his designs and started wearing them on almost every possible occasion, Mr.Tatehana became famous worldwide.

The shoes in this post are from his 2011 collection-named Phantom.

They are now on exibit at the Trading Museum Comme des Garçons in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan.

The Christian Dior Fall 2010 ready-to-wear show was amazing.

John Galliano outlined an equestrian theme with lots of leather mixed with romantic chiffon pieces.

The main element of the collection were the boots, ankle high, knee high, and my favorite, over-the-knee. They were mostly rugged looking platform boots made of leather and suede with stiletto heels. there were a couple of lovely lace ankle boots with stiletto heels but the majority of the boots were leather incorporating buckles on the sides and laced-up back in line with the equestrian theme. Thigh-high boots were paired with almost everything in the collection and for some pieces they were replaced with knee high or ankle boots plus thigh-high socks.

I also loved the leather equestrian-themed jackets, jodhpurs and hats. The colors were wintery and pastel. All in all, most of the outfits were gorgeous and very feminine, very sexy.

I love all three designs below, but my heart belongs to Lanvin leather ankle boots. I love the polished metal toe caps and matching sculpted stiletto metal heels. The 1 1/2 inch high platforms allow a comfortable wear over longer periods.

Gucci ‘Killin’ Stretch Suede Ankle Boots have a great design but I the ankles are too skinny for me despite the stretch material.

The Max Kibardin Open-Toe Ankle Boots feature a mini platform and peeptoe design. They are absolutely perfect for warmer days of the fall and winter. And they are also ‘the boots’ to show off beautiful pedicured toes!

Alexander McQueen showed his SS 2010 shoe designs and created mixed feelings.

Some of the designs were out of this world – literally! Some of the shoes looked like a cross between cocoons and helmets. Although several of the shoes on the runway may look extreme to most of us, their mission was to capture the attraction and I believe the mission is accomplished.

There were also ultramodern and industrial ankle boots, which kind of reminded me of the Nicholas Kirkwood designs with their industrial looking materials such as nuts, bolts, and metal combined with leather. The design and material combinations create a futuristic look for these stiletto heeled ankle boots, which is kind of sexy and eye-catching.

The very creative McQueen collection exudes a mystical and futuristic aura and it will be interesting to find out soon which of the presented designs will make it to the stores.
