These gorgeous Gianvito Rossi OTK boots went down from $1,700 to $670 at Browns.

These gorgeous black leather over-the-knee boots from Gianvito Rossi feature elaborate raised leather detailing around the top of the leg and towards the ankle.

Concealed zip fastening runs down the back of the boot and the tips are almond shaped.

They have 4-inch coated thin heels and covered platforms.

Boots…Lots and Lots of Riding Boots!!!

My Tahari Cindy Riding Boots

You know me. I know me! I am always interested in high heel shoes, boots, sandals, etc. My footwear should have nicely shaped high heels to please me and my fashion senses.

But since I bought my Tahari black leather riding boots, which by the way were a very good deal as well for only $99(down from $250), I started having a sudden interest in equestrian style boots.

I bought these cool leather knee-high boots to wear them during my commute to work on cold days when the sidewalks and stairs are too slippery for high heeled footwear. They have one inch heels and are extremely comfortable when I need to walk or stand over long periods of time. And when I pair them with my long black leather coat that goes all the way down to my heels, they really look gorgeous. I was also thinking of wearing them with my spurs attached, but did not have the chance to do so, yet! They are utilitarian but they also look good, so to say.

Anyways, I have been lloking at different riding boot designs. I wanted to share my current favorites with you. Be warned: It is a long list and lots of pictures! There are more than 40 different boots.

This fall, we will have a hard decision to make: Which Over-The-Knee (OTK) boots to choose! Almost all designers have several models ready for us ladies and there are so many options in terms of brand, color, material, and price.

Everyday, we see new models emerging and even the shoe brands that you would not expect to offer a pair of OTK boots, display tall thigh-high boots to attract us fashionistas!

The Real Stiletto Heels

I am sick and tired of people saying that this shoe and that boot has “stiletto heels” and then I see that they only have high heels that happen to be not chunky! I have seen so many pictures online, that were supposed to be of some ”stiletto heeled shoes or boots” which were only 3-3.5 inch classic heels.

The best definition of a stiletto heel is “A very high heel on a woman’s shoe, tapering to a very narrow tip. Origin: 17th Century; from Italian, from stilo a dagger, from Latin stilus a stake, pen“. Most of the real stiletto heels are also called pin heels or spike heels.

I absolutely see no reason to call any type of high heel a stiletto heel to give it a more sophisticated and exquiste status. Unless it is very thin at the base and pointed at the heel tip, a heel should not be called a stiletto heel but simply a high heel.

To clarify what a real stiletto heel is, I am posting a couple of shoe and boot pictures with “real” stiletto heels.

Before The Summer Ends – Sexy Sandals of 2009

Although there will be always hardcore boot-girls (like me), who would stick to their stylish boots no matter how hot it is outside, summer generally means wearing sexy sandals and displaying the freshly lotioned heels and pedicured toes.

The designers were especially accommodating with their gorgeous sandal styles this summer to assist us ladies in our pursuit of the ultimate sexy looks. The summer is about to come to an and in a month or so therefore we’ll need to hurry up and use our sandals as much as we can before we jump into our sexy boots!
