The materials and the craftsmanship of these Yves Saint Laurent leather knee boots is extraordinary!

These pull-on boots are made of black kidskin leather and they feature 4-inch chunky heels, pull tabs at the top of the shafts, cross-over gold chain-embellished straps at the ankles, and almond toes.

Although the chunky heels and almond toes are not necessarily my favorite design elements on a boot, these YSL boots are so well crafted that I like them.

High quality has its price and in YSL’s case it is $1,450 at net-a-porter.

Yves Saint Laurent Opyum pumps in black leather feature 4-inch stiletto heels, pointed bronze-tipped toes, and wrap-around leather straps.

They really look very elegant and glamourous.

I love this new ’architectural wedge heel’ design trend. The wedges look more fierce and sexy.

These black suede sandals with gold metal-inlaid cutaway wedge heels also feature very striking knot details, which make this YSL Trybal sandals an avant-garde evening choice as well as a casual alternative.

The wedge heels are 4.5 inches and the sandals have knot-detailed criss-cross vamps and ankle straps, open toes, and self-tie fastening at back of the heels.

I love the golden lining and insoles as well, which makes the look ven classier.

Net-a-porter is asking $1,050 for these babies.

Christina’s shoe closet/shoe room looks very nice and organized and her collection looks almost as extensive as Mariah Carey’s, almost! Although I do not like the red curtain and leopard carpeting, the shelving is very nicely done.

I wonder how she keeps track of which shoes she already has. Does she have a list that gets updated? Does she keep the shoes and boots forever or she gives them away/throws them away once she is done with them (I guess she can wear them only on a couple of occasions while everybody is watching what she wears all the time!).

I also wonder, if she only buys one pair of each or several pairs, because I remember reading that Celine Dion was buying several pairs of the same shoe model so that she has the same shoes in all her houses.

I believe I have more shoes and boots in total than she has but nowhere near the same collection of brand names.

Girls, it is time to go green and save! Green is not one of the main colors in our collective color plate. I was not sure about going green for fall/winter 2009/10. Was it too daring?

As I was contemplating the validity of this post during my morning commute, a vision in green captivated my attention. My fellow commuter, the always stylish yet never dull, Ms. Fierce (my personal nickname for her). Wearing a very lovely green python printed pump with a green satin pencil skirt, with a burgundy bag. Yes, she went there and the land was good.

This fall, we will have a hard decision to make: Which Over-The-Knee (OTK) boots to choose! Almost all designers have several models ready for us ladies and there are so many options in terms of brand, color, material, and price.

Everyday, we see new models emerging and even the shoe brands that you would not expect to offer a pair of OTK boots, display tall thigh-high boots to attract us fashionistas!

The Real Stiletto Heels

I am sick and tired of people saying that this shoe and that boot has “stiletto heels” and then I see that they only have high heels that happen to be not chunky! I have seen so many pictures online, that were supposed to be of some ”stiletto heeled shoes or boots” which were only 3-3.5 inch classic heels.

The best definition of a stiletto heel is “A very high heel on a woman’s shoe, tapering to a very narrow tip. Origin: 17th Century; from Italian, from stilo a dagger, from Latin stilus a stake, pen“. Most of the real stiletto heels are also called pin heels or spike heels.

I absolutely see no reason to call any type of high heel a stiletto heel to give it a more sophisticated and exquiste status. Unless it is very thin at the base and pointed at the heel tip, a heel should not be called a stiletto heel but simply a high heel.

To clarify what a real stiletto heel is, I am posting a couple of shoe and boot pictures with “real” stiletto heels.

My High Heeled Boot Favorites

I must admit, I am a Boot Girl. I love boots and I can wear them anytime, even in the summer!

This year, a new trend emerged. Designers all around the world are creating styles that look like a pair of rather closed peeptoe pumps or sandals but they call them a bootie, “peeptoe bootie”, “open-toe ankle boots” or even a “shoe bootie” or “shoe boot” as in case of Fendi High Heel Gladiator Shoe Boots.

Whatever they are called, these styles are sexy and gives us ladies the chance to show off our well-pedicured toes, even in fall and winter! There is also a continuing trend for over-the-knee (OTK) and thigh-high designs and although most designers are looking for a fresh style, I love some of the retro look like in Jimmy Choo, Michael Kors, Miu Miu, and especially Prada OTK models.

Although there are some cute flat or low-heel OTK boots this year (especially some riding boot inspired models), I always prefer high heels and stilettos!

Although there will be always hardcore boot-girls (like me), who would stick to their stylish boots no matter how hot it is outside, summer generally means wearing sexy sandals and displaying the freshly lotioned heels and pedicured toes.

The designers were especially accommodating with their gorgeous sandal styles this summer to assist us ladies in our pursuit of the ultimate sexy looks. If you look at the pre-fall presentations and other indicators, it looks like that we will have a fun fall 2009 and winter 2010 season in terms of footwear trends. There is materials and styles galore and all designers are trying really hard to stand out with their unique designs from the rest of very distinctive designs. Hot and Sexy Boots for 2009 Fall/2010 Winter Season

Fellow Boot Lovers,

My Goodness! There is so much going on in the Boot Universe that it is crazy-in a great way of course!

The more the designers reveal their creations the more exciting it gets for all of us Boot Bitches! Some styles are so tempting that I can barely hold myself back from jumping into a pair of my thigh high leather boots with stiletto heels and getting out under the sun at 95 degrees!!

As I mentioned previously, the greatest two trends are the high heeled peeptoe booties and the over-the-knee/thigh-high boots. But one thing is mostly common in both trends and that is the high stiletto heels. When was the last time that we had so many styles with 5 inches and higher heels? Most boots also feature platforms-hidden or visible- that make the higher heels more manageable for daily use.

All in all, this fall will be a great time for all boot lovers-and fetishists amongst us since the “unconventional” and exquisite fetish styles are becoming a part of ladies’ daily boot game!
